Overview
The Sir Ganga Ram Hospital was established in the middle of the 19th century in Delhi. However, the original Sir Ganga Ram Hospital can be found in Lahore in Pakistan and was established in the early 19th century by Sir Ganga Ram Agrawal, a Hindu engineer who served the British government. Though the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is Delhi was not built by Sir Ganga Ram, it was founded in honour of his memory. This hospital is a multi-specialty one, serving various patients with different conditions. There are different departments that can cater to the needs of the patients, each department having their own specific consultants and practitioners. Though the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is a private health venture, they do provide free outpatient services for a few hours every day, which we would discuss below.

The Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has two units for the Department of Neurology, with three consultants each. The neurologists have different schedules though but we would highlight them below. Each physician allots a certain amount of time for the General OPD as well.
1. Dr. Prahlad Kumar Sethi - After graduating from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for his MBBS, Dr. Prahlad Kumar Sethi continued for his residency training for Neurology in the State University of New York & Board in the USA. He is the head neurologist of the Neurology Department of the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Dr. Sethi has also published many studies and research papers related to the field of medicine, specifically neurology. He had also taught students here and abroad, proving of his excellence in the field of neurology. With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Sethi is not just an expert in the field, he is truly qualified to be the head of the department. He was even awarded the Padma Shree, one of the highest civilian awards given by the Government of India to individuals who excelled in their fields.

2. Dr. CS Aggarwal - Dr. CS Aggarwal is the senior specialist in the Neurology Department of the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He is a member of both the
Indian Medical association (IMA) and the Delhi Medical Council (DMC). He has over 39 years of medical experience, a graduate of both MBBS and MD, with residency training in Neurology too. His expertise lies in diseases like stroke, neuromuscular disorders and brain tumours.

3. Dr. Ish Anand - Next we have Dr. Ish Anand who graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College for both his MBBS and MD. He then acquired his fellowship from Cleveland USA for Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy. After which, he returned to Delhi and served his countrymen by working in the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Aside from dedicating his time in treating patients, he also had various publications related to different neurological disorders, their physiology and treatment procedures.
