Hello to Rajasthan Lovers..
Being a big fan of Rajasthani food and culture, i personally admire travelling to Rajasthan every year- more than twice. It is always added in my travel bucket list. The passion of exploring Rajasthan took me to desert cities- Jaisalmer and Jodhpur this year.
It was amazing, overwhelming and eye-pleasing.
A perfect weather to visit these two heavenly places is obviously winter when days are liitle warm, but nights are colder than usual.
What make Jodhpur Jaisalmer Winter trip special is the deserted vibes, sand dunes, thrilling activities, fun of road trip, amazing food and shopping.
So, here is a snapshot of my latest trip:
Time: 3 Nights 4 Days
Mode of Travel: Train and Private Car
Budget: Moderate
Fun: Unlimited
Places Covered: Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Khuri Sand Dunes
Started my family trip from Delhi Railway Station and boarded a train by 11 PM for Jodhpur- It was fastest train and took only 10 hours and we are there by 8:30 AM. Get a warm welcome by our rented car driver that we have booked with a travel agency in Delhi only. We are in hurry to do sand dunes, so hopped into the car quickly and stopped for a breakfast for only 30 minutes. Jodhpur Railway Station to Jaisalmer was 200 km approx and took exact 4 hours to reac the border.
What we do on 1st Day:
Visited Khuri Sand Dunes
Do Camel Safari and enjoyed night camping
Rested in camps under the starlit sky
2nd Day:
Departed very early from camps and headed to Kuldhara Village, Tanot Mata Temple and drive back to Jodhpur with stop at Golden Fort and War memorial Jaislamer.
With a limited time and departure train tickets, we missed Longewala Post as it need 1 more day for explore.
Finally, we reached Jodhpur after a full day driving and sightseeing. (It become 11 PM)
3rd Day:
Jodhpur Sightseeing Tour to explore famous forts and palaces
Took train for Delhi
4th Day: Arrived home
It was a very time limited trip, but I will suggest you to plan for atleast 5 days to explore Osian Desert and Longewala both to complete the trip.
It is my personal travel diary for Rajasthan.
