I am trying to find out what the Wonderla Amusement Park entry fee in Kochi is, but I am not getting the right information. Instead, the results show up the entry fee for the Wonderla Amusement Park in Bangalore.

I am sure there would not be much of a difference in the entry fee for the same amusement park in different branches, but I would still like to be sure and have the correct details.

    Thanking you in advance.

    What is Wonderla in Kochi?

Previously known as Veega Land, Wonderla in Kochi is now regarded as one of the best theme parks in the country. It was Mr. Kochouseph Chittilappilly who established this theme park in the year 2000. Thereafter, other theme parks in Bangalore and Hyderabad were established under the same name. With numerous dry rides and water rides, Wonderla in Kochi is an all-in-one destination suitable for the whole family or even a group of friends. Rides are thrilling and fun but they never compromise on safety or hygiene which is why Wonderla is praised by those who have thoroughly enjoyed their facilities and services. In this guide, we would highlight the attractions in both Amusement Park and Water Park of Wonderla as well as the entry fees required to access it.

Where is Wonderla Located in Kochi?

Wonderla is located in Kakkanad Pallikara Road in Kochi. It is about 25 kilometres away from the city centre of Kochi. The theme park is also just under two kilometres away from the Kadambrayar River. The nearest railhead is the Idaplli Railway Station, which is around 15 kilometres away from the theme park. There are direct trains from Ernakulam to this railway station, most of which have other destinations to reach like Aluva or Trissur. There are also many direct buses reaching Wonderla from major areas in Kochi like Ernakulam and Fort Kochi. These buses are operated by the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and they usually have daily schedules.

What is the Overall Vibe of Wonderla in Kochi?

A modern attraction that marvels in its nature-like appeal, that is Wonderla in Kochi. With over 2,000 trees and plants surrounding the park premises, you're bound to enjoy the breath of fresh air here. It is situated amidst a hillock so it provides for wonderful views of the surrounding villages and city. Spread over 30 acres of lush greenery, not to mention the colourful rides, this is what pure and unadulterated fun can be. The sparkling waters of the Water Park blends quite well with the verdant surroundings. Even a tributary of the Kadambrayar River can be found within the theme park premises. The usage of eco-friendly facilities such as rainwater harvesting and solar-powered heating makes this theme park unique too. The overall vibe is therefore naturally fun but with an air of sustainability.

What are the Attractions in the Amusement Park?

The Amusement Park can be divided into three sections, namely: Land Rides, Kids Rides and Thrill Rides. The Land Rides comprise of the family-friendly rides that can be enjoyed by the whole family. The usual fun but safe rides like the Flying Boat, Dashing Cars I & II, Dancing Wheel and Wonder Splash can be enjoyed here. A prime attraction here is the Sky Wheel, set amidst the top of a castle, which overlooks the entire theme park. The Caterpillar Village is an enjoyable coaster ride that isn't as bewildering as rollercoasters. If you want to try out more adventurous rides, opt for the Rockin Tug or Wind Mill, the former takes you spinning round and round while the latter takes you to unbelievable heights. On the other hand, the Fire Brigade is a sure hit with the little ones, as they shoot water to fire-raged buildings.

Aside from these rides, the Land Rides section also has a few show spectacles. The Adventures of Chikku provides for a 3D cinema experience complete with physical effects like the wind blowing or water splashing unto your face. The Cinemagic Ride is just the same, a 3D cinema experience but instead uses high definition video and hydraulic seating areas. The Musical Fountain and Laser Show is another must experience cinematic experience. With the dancing of the water of the fountain in perfect tune with the lasers, you can truly enjoy the wonders of modernity. Finally, don't forget to take a haunting stroll at the Balarama Cave, where you would be exposed to paranormal visions such as witches, ghosts and monsters.

The next section is the Kids Rides, where an assortment of child-friendly rides can be found. Round and round rides like Flying Ammu, Jumping Horses, Castle Jet, Magic Plane and Jumping Frogs are available here for the enjoyment of the little ones. There are also kiddie versions of adult rides like the Happy Kangaroo (Mini Drop Ride), Kiddies Wheel (Mini Ferris Wheel) and Pirate Ship (Mini Flying Boat). Also not missing is the Convoy, a toy train ride comprised of trucks and jeeps that the children would surely enjoy. The Kids Play is the perfect place for the little ones to interact with other kids of their ages, as they share slides and swim in a pool of small colourful balls together.

The last section is the Thrill Rides, where you would find thrilling and adrenaline-pumping rides. The Twin Flip Monster would take you round, up, down and at every angle possible. This seemingly robotic arm ride machine is sure to churn your insides, definitely not for the faint-hearted individuals. Similarly, the Maverick is based upon the same principle, flipping the riders at every angle possible. Space Gun is yet another thrilling ride, taking you to an upside down view of the world. Also worth trying rides are the Equinox, Flash Tower, Super Jumper and Wonderla Bamba.

What are the Attractions in the Water Park?

The Water Park can be divided into various sections, namely: Wave Pools, Play Pools, Rapid River, Rain Disco, Water Rides and High Thrill Water Rides. There are two Wave Pools located at the central part of the park. They mimic the waves of the sea though only on fixed times during the day. There are also three Play Pools, filled with water sprinklers, shaded canopies and falling water. There are two Rapid Rivers, where you can lazily float amidst the free flowing water. Even better is the five-headed snake spewing water unto the floating riders. The Rain Disco is a fun attraction where guests can groove to the latest hits while water sprinkles unto them upon choreographed music.

Now we go to the stars of the Water Park, the Water Rides. On the easternmost side of this section are three enjoyable rides. First is the Water Pendulum, which is a large U-shaped open-air slide, in which guests have to ride using a water raft. Much like a pendulum, you're waded back and forth before reaching the end of the ride. Next to it is the Boomerang, which has the same concept as the previous water ride, only guests have to pass through a tunnel before the U-shaped open-air slide. Also in this area is the Water Slide, a pure white slide that spirals a bit before dropping off guests into the shallow water. Unlike other slides though, this is suitable for families as the ride is on a four-seater raft.

On the more central part of the park is the more enjoyable wet rides. You have the Water Coasters, which are simply open, straight slides that you need to traverse using two-seater rafts. The Bullet Rides are two sets of narrow, open slides that drop guests into a shallow pool of water. The Fun Glides and Snake Slides are similar, side by side slides wherein you have to traverse through on your stomach while on rubber mats. The former has bumps while the latter has loops and spirals. They are located on the westernmost side of the park.

The last section is of the High Thrill Water Slides, which are suitable for the adventure seekers. There are two rides here, namely: Wavy Fall and Vertical Fall. Both slides are around six storeys high and are devoid of any loops or spirals. You slide down on your own without any rafts or boats. The steeper fall might render one speechless. The former has some bumps along the way while the latter is truly a steep and narrow slide. These slides are located on the eastern side of the park.

On the Amusement Park section, the first two restaurants you'd encounter are the Vintage Chimney and Vintage Kitchen, which are both South Indian cuisine dining options. They are well known for their scrumptious Biryani dishes. On the northeastern side of the park are two more restaurants, Spice Garden and Wood House. The former serves only vegetarian dishes while the latter has multi-cuisine dishes. Near the Adventures of Chikku theatre are two dining options, the Food Court and Five Star Chicken.
