Hi I got to know that there are some issues with bars and alcohol consumption in Kerala, is somebody already there in Kerala who can throw some light on this and if I visit Kerala then can I buy and consume liquor in my hotel room. Visio
Only four star properties and heritage bars are allowed to serve alcoholic drinks in the state of Kerala. You can buy alcohol from state run retail shops but there are no bars where you can go and have a drink. About the hotel room I believe if retail outlets run by government are running then there is nothing stopping you from buying and drinking inside a hotel room. I might be wrong on this as I am not in Kerala and have no clue how the hotels and police interpret this law.
