Hostels in Kolkatta (Calcutta)

My first stop in India will be Kolkatta. I am considering staying in youth hostels for most of my time in India. In the past I've had pleasant stays in hostels elsewhere. However, I've also had some other experiences at hostels which were not so good. Can anyone give me a recommendation? Or tell me which to avoid? I would prefer to stay somewhere clean and safe. I am open in terms of price. Thanks
