How to reach Phi Phi Island from Phuket?

My husband and I have booked a holiday to Phuket next month. We have everything booked from the flights to the hotel. We have just found out about Phi Phi Island and would like to extend our holiday for a further so we can spend some time there (flight tickets would also be changed).

What we need to know is how to reach Phi Phi Island from Phuket?

What mode of transport would be required to reach the island?

1. By Shared Ferry - This is the cheapest option for reaching Phi Phi Islands from Phuket. The shared ferries depart from the Rassada Pier and can accommodate up to 400 passengers in one trip. There are daily schedules as well so you can easily book a ferry but do book in advance to avoid queuing when in the pier.
