The process is fairly simple and can be completed at three days at the most. With an electronic visa at hand, Indian nationals can enter Singapore without any issues. There is no visa on arrival facility in Singapore, except maybe for transit passengers (those who have a valid boarding pass for their main destination and only passing through Singapore) but even issuing of the visa on arrival then is not assured.

Singapore Electronic Visa for Indian Nationals

You have two options for applying for a Singapore Electronic Visa, if you're an Indian national. The first one requires that you know someone from Singapore itself, a local who has a SingPass account. He or she can apply for your Singapore visa on your behalf locally, saving you some money in the long run. However, if you don't know any locals from Singapore, you're left with just one option and that is to apply for the Electronic Visa via an authorised agent in India. This guide would focus more on the second option, since not many people have friends or relatives in Singapore. Beforehand, you need to prepare the following requirements to ensure that your visa would be approved.

Requirements for Singapore Electronic Visa for Indian Nationals

• Fully completed and signed Form 14A from the Government of Singapore website

• Valid passport with at least six months of validity

• Two recent coloured passport sized photographs attached to the form (Must have a white background with matte finish, 35 mm in width x 45 mm in height)

• Cover letter stating your purpose of visit plus the number of days you intend to stay in the country

• Confirmed return air ticket, hotel booking and itinerary

• Bank statements for the last six months

The first four requirements are necessary while the last two are optional. But to increase your chances of getting approved, it's best to include the last two requirements when submitting your documents to one of the authorised Singapore visa agents in India. If any of your documents is in a language other than English, you have to have it officially translated into English.

After which, they would submit your application to the High Commission of the Republic of Singapore in Delhi. Alternatively, you can also have your documents picked up from your house or office by any one of these agencies, but there's a separate charge for that.

Singapore Electronic Visa Application Procedures for Indian Nationals

Once you have collected the necessary requirements above for your visa application, you are ready to go. Just choose any of the mentioned Singapore visa agents above and talk to their representative to further clarify any question you have in mind. Generally, for all travel agents, the process is fairly similar and simple which would be highlighted below.

• Keep all your documents in a brown or plastic envelope to keep them safe. Choose which Singapore visa agent best fits you, but generally they provide the same results and has the same fees.

• You need to pay the visa processing fee online, which is about ‎30 SGD or about 1,437 INR. Agents usually charge about Rs. 300 per visa application too. So in total, you have to pay about Rs. 1,737, more or less. You would need a working credit card in order to pay for the required fees.

• Once done, you can have your documents picked up from your home, which costs an additional Rs. 200. Alternatively, you can also submit your documents in the respective office of your chosen Singapore visa agent.

• After which, the visa agent would submit the documents to the High Commission of the Republic of Singapore on your behalf. Within three to five working days, your Electronic Visa along with your documents would be sent via courier to you, or you can pick them up from the office as well.

Once you get your Electronic Visa, it has a validity of one year up to two years from the date of issue, sometimes less, it depends on the jurisdiction of the consulate officer. The maximum number of days that you can stay in Singapore per visit (If you have a multiple entry visa) though is only for 30 days.
