I plan to choose Indigo Airlines (as they are providing good deals) for a domestic flight I need to take and also a Delhi to Dubai flight.

I need to know what the Indigo baggage allowance is for both of these flights, one domestic and one Delhi to Dubai flight.

Hello there, welcome to the forum!

Baggage allowances differ for domestic and international flights in Indigo Airlines. In addition, allowances also differ for both cabin and checked baggages. It's important to take note of these allowance limits or else you might be subdued to extra charges which can be quite a lot. So first, let's begin with the cabin and checked baggage allowances for domestic flights in Indigo Airlines:

Cabin and Checked Baggage Allowances (Domestic Flight - Indigo Airlines)
    • Cabin Baggage Allowance - Up to 7 kilograms per passenger, 1 piece only + 1 personal item
    • Checked Baggage Allowance - Up to 15 kilograms per passenger, 1 piece only
For the cabin baggage, you are allowed to carry one baggage plus another handbag or briefcase. Other personal items include a laptop, a book or other reading materials. These items should fit within the 7 kilograms limit though.

For the checked baggage, you are allowed only one piece per passenger. This allowance is only for children and adults though, infants are not given this allowance.

For your flight from Delhi to Dubai, here are the allowances for this international flight in Indigo Airlines:

Cabin and Checked Baggage Allowances (International Flight Dubai - Indigo Airlines)

    • Cabin Baggage Allowance - Up to 7 kilograms per passenger, 1 piece only + 1 personal item
    • Checked Baggage Allowance - Up to 30 kilograms per passenger, 1 piece only
The same principles apply here, although with the checked baggage allowance for the Dubai flight, it's significantly bigger than the domestic flight checked baggage allowance.

There are also required dimensions that you must adhere to:

Dimensions for Baggages (Domestic and Dubai Flight - Indigo Airlines)

    • Cabin Baggage Dimensions - 55 centimetres in length + 35 centimetres in width + 25 centimetres in height
    • Checked Baggage Dimensions - Up to 158 centimetres only (in length + width + height)
For the cabin baggage, once you exceed these limits, your baggage would be transferred to the baggage compartment. So make sure you buy a luggage that fits within these limits. The same goes for checked baggage dimensions, you need to have one that fits within these limits.

    So in summary:

Baggage Allowances for Indigo Flights (Domestic and Dubai)
